Suburbanites (who have jobs), former Republican women who are older, former Obama/Trump voters who are disillusioned, evangelicals and Christians with a moral awakening, never Trumpers, moderate Republicans and moderate Democrats are not progressives. Their values are very centrists. They won't vote for a commie. They'll vote for a moderate.
Historically, moderates of both parties win the presidential elections because they need to build a coalition that attracts a wide range of people like I just named.
For years I didn't like Clinton nor Obama because I thought they were too moderate. That was by design because that's how presidential elections are won. I don't argue with the facts. I accept them and move on. You like to argue and hope the world can be different from the reality.
