Yes, I have been to the country. In fact, I lived there for many years and have relatives there right up in the Appalachians.

Well... okay. It irritates me when those with little or no experience talks shit about the country or the South. They are quite obviously inexperienced with history as well.
You do realize the "country" makes up a large portion of America, correct? It's not as if it's some little nook nestled in the mountains and that's it. A LOT of people have or do live in the country which is why it's easy to understand the mindset of a southern-born Trump supporter.
I know them, am related to them and have some friends among them (who thankfully don't act like the majority of Trumpers I see online).
The way you speak makes it sound as if anyone who is anti-Trump or making country references has never seen/been to the south.
Even people who LIVE in the south make fun of each other. Anyone who's actually lived a few years or more down south knows that.
