Trump may have committed impeachable offense

While granted essentially anything and everything can be technically an impeachable offense, the empirical realities are another story altogether. And the empirical realities of all these so-called emoluments violations is that there will probably need to be a precedent first delivered by Congress or the Courts. Whichever deems itself to have superseding authority.

They will have to rule whether or not these gifts are considered emoluments violations or whether or not there is a fair value exception and/or - in this instance of the trademark - a exception in the sense that it would have been granted otherwise and it was not related to his being President.

Then, assuming such a violation precedent established, it empirically would fall upon President Trump to then, at that point and time, reject or return said emolument. If he refuses do so contrary to rule of law, then, yes, impeachment offense is reasonable to argue.

But anyways, I think the arguments are so jumping the gun on the empirical realities. Think establish a legal precedent first. Then basically give Trump a do-over chance to return or reject. Only then should the talk of impeachment be raised. And the odds of it getting to that latter point are exceedingly longshot.
