I just watched it. Very well-acted but extremely slow moving. Interesting to see Mitchum playing someone who is not a cop, private detective, boxer, or a government agent. Just a regular everyman. Jean Simmons is excellent.

Jean Simmons is excellent at being quietly deranged. I am impressed too at how her and Herbert Marshall are quite convincing as a daughter/father pair.
