Batman Rebirth comics thought and general feedback

What is the overall thoughts towards the main Batman title, and the current Detective Comics storyline?

Are the current storylines, they're using really good? Is the art good? Think its kinda interesting in Detectice comics they have this 'Batman family/team,brought Drake back, Clayface working along with them. Never have honestly been a huge fan of Clayface. Are yall liking the direction the two above mentioned books are going right now?

(Kinda thought it was really super cool how they brought in Calendar Man, give him completely new look, interesting how he molts/sheds. Can't remember last time they used Calendar Man in a Batman comic.

Personally, I'm really glad that Batwoman is back in a comic, so Detective Comics gets my vote. Not sure about what direction they're going with Clayface, he's the only weak link in my opinion. I am always a fan of generational heroes, it used to be central to the JSA comics and showed how the older heroes help the younger ones come up.

Not sure about Batman yet. That first issue with him on the plane was pretty effin spectacular and the way he was trying to save the day whilst going through his death arrangements with Alfred was great reading.

Having Drake back as Nightwing is good, but I did think the Grayson solo was pretty special. I wonder if they will be keeping in the Parliament of Owls/Gray Son thing?

That new twist on Calendar Man was really good, I agree.

The new twist on Calendar Man is very interesting take. Its cool, how he molts for each new season. Can't remember last time they used Calendar Man in a Batman comic.

Looking forward to Synder's All Star Batman.

If Superman has gotten much better, Batman has gone from being the premier DC comic to something I won't be staying with. The new Calendar Man, as well as Gotham and Miss Gotham, or whatever his sidekick's name is, remind of Peter Milligan's run on Detective Comics in the '80s, when was fighting mutants and one letter writer complained, "What next? Batman getting clues from a ouija board?" Weird as it may sound, these aren't the kind of characters I want to see in a Batman story; I prefer my Batman a little more grounded in "reality." There was a time characters like Gotham would have popped up in Brave and the Bold or World's Finest, not Batman.

Where are the codenames? Batman's referring to Alfred and Mr. Thomas by their names as if it's impossible that anyone could ever hack his comm channels. I definitely preferred the first two issues of Detective Comics. I think Eddy Barrows is a better artist than David Finch, but I'm not crazy about Batman and Batwoman just happening to be cousins all of a sudden, and if Batwoman's father is part of this "Colony," I will be both disappointed and unsurprised. Also not happy about the unnecessary rejuvenation of Leslie Thompkins. Too many people know who Batman is at the moment.

Je suis Charlie Hebdo.

I'm pretty sure it was established back in the Batwoman comic (2006?) that they were cousins.

I will agree with you on Leslie. That's just needless.
