recommend anime films please

hello fellow anime fans!

I finally watched every last single anime film that I had in my collection! Can't find any new anymore - so that's why I would like recommendations! Please only films and OVA's only if they can be watched as standalone. I still have enough series' to watch. I like every genre and animation style.

Of course there are always more Lupin films to watch, but you can only watch so many of them at a time...

Here are a few of my favorites that you haven't seen:

Chirin no suzu (1978)
Sekai meisaku dôwa: Hakuchô no mizûmi (1981)
Urusei Yatsura 2: Byûtifuru dorîmâ (1984) (just read a 2-sentence synopsis of the series, and you'll be able to understand the movie)
Fantascope 'Tylostoma' (2006) (short)
Majokko shimai no Yoyo to Nene (2013)

thank you very much for the recommendations! Added them all to my watchlist (and found another 5 myself) :). What about Urusai Yatsura the movie 1? Shouldn't I watch that one too?

Also, I realise that there are a whole lot of older fairytale anime adaptations (of which you recommended one) - I avoided those so far, but is it worth it watching all the other ones aswell?

They're both good, but 2 is better. It's not really important what order you watch them in.

If you like Swan Lake then I'd also recommend Twelve Months by the same director.

I'll start with the second then and when I like it watch the first one another time. Thanks again for the recommendations! I just watched Majokko shimai no Yoyo to Nene (2013), which was very entertaining! :-) It also resembled Witch Academia in many ways (I guess witch girls are becoming popular again in anime).

I found another forty films (mostly 80s and 90s) on an imdb list. I have plenty of anime films to watch now! :)

I just noticed that you haven't watched Kanashimi no Beradonna (1973), so I recommend that as well.

All I can think of at the moment is the Bleach movies (except Hell Verse, that's one I didn't care for).

'The Girl Who Lept Through Time' has always been one of my favorites. Must have watched it at least 10 times. 'Tokyo Godfathers' I've watched already too.

I was never able to find 'Belladonna of Darkness', sadly - it's supposed to be real good. The Bleach OVAs are probably bound to the long-running series, which I wont start.
