It's a bit odd to see a Lupin show that won't really have Lupin or his gang in it. But the guy playing Zenigata looks good.

Live action Lupin hasn't ever turned out right, so I'm not that keen on this. Here's hoping Zenigata gets his own animated focus someday. So far, he's the only one not to get one yet, now that Goemon's is coming out soon this year.

I would watch this! I've been a Lupin III fan since the mid-2000s. I haven't actually seen the entire live action film (2013) yet, or even the 1970s one. It would be interesting and strange to see Zenigata carry out his job without Lupin being in it, at least prominently. Is this supposed to be a Zenigata origins story?

I'm not sure at the moment, but I think it's just Zenigata doing his job as a Japanese inspector away from chasing Lupin.

He's incompetent only compared to Lupin. Otherwise he can match up with the best of the crooks he's tracking down. He's put down his fair share of crooks over the years, and has managed to arrest Lupin temporarily.
