Last silent film you watched - "READ ONLY"?

Why has this staple of the Silent Film Board become "read only"?

I wanted to add Ruan Lingyu's classic Xiao Wanyi (1933), but would rather contribute to the long and respected list of others, than start a new one.

Is it a temporary glitch, or some sort of IMDb limit?

Weird, and good question. I've asked in the IMDb support boards, maybe they can answer it.
I'm guessing it's a post or page limit?

- which means a new thread has to be started.

Somewhat curiously, I made the last post on that thread and it posted it twice before locking the thread.

This is the answer from the support boards:

"IMDb has a hard cap of 600 posts per thread, after which the thread is closed (marked read only). It should however remain on the board until it lemmings off via normal expiry, imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=boardswhydeleted";

So, yes, you have to start a new one.
