I joined IMDb in 1999. I got seriously interested in silent films in 2006. Since then this particular board has been an immensely valuable source of information, which I used intensively off and on.
I know my way around the silent era now, so it's not I can't do without this board, but just for those few still dropping by before the shut-down: Thank you, goodbye, it's been fun!
I enjoy silent films, but am not yet well-versed in the silent era.
I have enjoyed reading and learning on these boards, too bad that it is soon to be over.
A great pity,but in truth, the Silent board has never been particularly active, certainly not of late.
