Live action knights of the old Republic

I think a 'game of thrones' style series would work well with the Old Republic.

i always wondered if they would have a big enough budget to sustain a full series, i always thought a 9-10 episode mini series would work quite well, things like band of brothers looked great.

This is how i would see a trilogy of KOTOR going, first film we start off like the game, cold opening could be cool but a opening scroll would be great and nostalgic, fade out of black we wake up on the endar spire and we follow through right up to when his true identity is revealed, its one of the great reveals in game history amd could rival the "luke i am your father" thing.

Second film we flash back, to the rise of revan and malak during the mandalorian and jedi civil war and the turn to the dark side, we finish with malak's betrayal and revans duel with bastilla aboard the endar spire (this could almost be another slight reveal because we would be aware of there growing relationship during the first film and then seeing them go toe to toe here could be pretty cool and quite shocking) that finishes the second film.

Third film is bastilla's turn to the dark side,Revan comming clean to the rest of the group and then them heading to the star forge for revans final show down with malak.

I think this would be a great trilogy and although the force awakens and the skywalker saga is really interesting i think this story and its characters plus the scope and tone of the old republic would work really well.

Keen to hear other peoples thoughts and opinions ?

I'd watch it, especially if it would use characters from the games like HK-47, Jolee Bindo, etc.

It could also be an anthology series which would enable the writers to create stories from the different time periods. The Mandolorians Wars, Jedi Civil War, the Cold War, etc.

Yeh the old republic era has some great opportunities to follow darker sith characters.

Another idea i had for a movie was one on the fall of the infinite empire, treat it almost as a star wars galaxy origin story. i think it could be really good.

Its set so far back you'd market the film without all the star wars stuff and people would think its just some new sci fi series about a slave revolt but then they'd start to see little hints about the force and stuff and think "hang on thats similar to star wars?' then by the end you realise this is the beginning of the force and everything that follows it, and then right befor the end credits you cut to " a long time ago in a galaxy far far away" and have the star wars them kick in.

Kind of similar to how promethius was an origin story to the aliens franchise.

Like i said, disney would never make it and they certainly wouldnt market it in such a way but i still like the idea.

Would love it, but I'd like if they started with Tales of the Jedi, or at least referenced that era in flashbacks through characters alive during that era.

I like your approach to how to make a KOTOR trilogy very much! Great dividing points for each movie. And then the backtracking in the 2nd movie... Perfect!
