Your favourite Harry Potter chapters?

I'm amazade with people who can remember the names on each chapter. I pretty much only know the final ones in the last book because they are mentioned so much by fans. Is Cat, Rat and Dog the one with the Scabbers reveal?



There is no such thing as too much time

Hands down "The Parting of the Ways."

A very somber chapter, basically the aftermath of Voldemort returning, Cedric's death, etc. This was what really set up the next few books though, and drew a line in the sand.

Close, it's Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs. Cat, Rat and Dog is the chapter right before.

Yeah, sombre is the right word for it. I've read the series several times and I've never really hesitated in saying that Goblet of Fire is my favourite book. The final third is almost pure horror as well as being really sad. Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince have similar final acts but it was GoF that did it first with the first major death of the series.

I can't remember each chapter ant their names right now, but, from the top of my head, the ones that made a bigger impact on me were: The Prince's Tale, the whole Scabbers reveal one in the Shrieking Shack in PoA, the whole graveyard scene in GoF, and The Cave and Dumbledore's death in HBP. All of those blew me away. Especially the end of PoA. Who could have imagined that!?

It's all in the plot twists and J.K. did them brilliantly.
