The Cursed Child

Surprised Disneyworld hasn't decided to turn the play into an attraction. They have live shows all the time at MGM.

Disney doesn't have the rights to HP.

reply

Right. My bad. I suffered from heat stroke the day I went to the park.

Still, love how you don't answer the question. But, have to put two cents in. People are pathetic.

I hope Universal does something themed for the cursed child

Given that there was no question in the the thread, I question who is pathetic. Someone who replies with a related comment or someone who is snide about it, like you.

I do not think they will ever do anything big with The Cursed Child. It is simply to long to put in as an show. At Hollywood Studios (what MGM is now) Beauty and the Beast is only 30 minutes long. In Animal Kingdom, Finding Nemo is 45 minutes long max. I do not think Universal has anything coming close to that and will not change for Cursed Child.

Second there is no place to put it. Universal is cramped for space and does not have room for building a new theater at the parks they have now. Now Islands of Adventure DOES have a theater semi near Hogsmead that kinda would work. But it would have to be a massive expansion. And it does not fit the theme of the area.

And the third park planned to be built right now is scheduled to have the Ministry of Magic as its theme.

The best you could hope for is maybe a time turner based ride off the MoM area. But it would be its own separate story and not related to the Cursed Child.

And one last thing I remembered. The HP lands are all chronologically set at the time of the Deathly Hallows. Hogsmead is a little looser on the exact date but Gringotts is 100% Deathly Hallows. You could not put Cursed Child in there because it takes places much much later.

1) There was no question.

2) Your attitude is pathetic. Not even joking here. What was that?

3) Why would the Harry Potter franchise offer the play for free at a park when they want to make money off it from performances.

I'm propped up in a hospital bed fighting cancer. You want to talk about attitude?
