Its NOT what ship is more popular

or what ship you believe is the best.

Its knowing how to read. (Harry/Ginny AND Ron/Hermione)

Oh waaaaa my stupid ship sank because I ignored all the clues and I have an IQ like Gregory Goyle. - Everyone that doesn't ship both Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione.

Harry Potter is NOT romance novel. Go and read Jane Austin, Romeo and Juliet, Twilight Saga, 50 Shades of Grey or any other romance novel.

Ships = the most irritating part of the fandom. Romance was only in the books to give Harry and the gang a partner, the books are about attending Hogwarts and fighting Voldemort.

Sorry I just had to get it off my chest.

I'm sorry, but I could never like Ron and Hermione together. Even all these years after the last book was written, they never clicked in my opinion. I don't care how many "clues" you saw, they still had no chemistry and should never have gotten married. JKR herself would later admit that Ron and Hermione got problems in their marriage. They were actually more compatible in the movies, if you ask me. And by the way, I happen to have a relatively high IQ. So please don't go there and claim that everybody who doesn't agree with you is stupid!

Harry/Ginny came out of the blue too, when he just suddenly got the major hots for her. But as soon as they had gotten together, I could still feel that they would have a good relatiopnship and (later on) marriage. And I never got anything like that from Ron and Hermione, who were simply forced together for some stupid reason by JKR...

Intelligence and purity.

I agree and disagree with you. I didn't like Ron and Hermione together at first, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. However, I'm still not a fan of that pairing.

Harry and Ginny really did come out of nowhere, yet so many people say "Their such a great couple!" And I think to myself, why are they such a great couple? They don't have much scenes together in the books, and the movies are even worse as they had zero chemistry with each other. For me, it seems as if Harry and Ginny would've had problems later on in their marriage, just like Ron and Hermione.

reply

I think completely the opposite. I just don't see how in any way Harry and Ginny have any chemistry or compatibility with each other. They barely seem compatible to be friends let alone a long term relationship. With Ron and Hermione, they at least have a bedrock of friendship and an understanding of each other's behavior which gives them an insight into each other which would be useful in a relationship. Their bickering was more playful to me than mean spirited or antagonistic for the most part. I don't believe in perfect compatibility but like JK said in that very interview, Hermione needed someone with a sense of humor because she would have been a very serious and introverted person. I feel they do balance each other out and as they would grow older and Ron matured while Hermione tempered her bossiness and need to be right, I think they would work out well together.

I don't dig too far into fandoms and never board ships, but I have to agree Ron and Hermione aren't a likely pair. I mean...its Emma Watson. Like...its Emma flipping Watson!

reply

Except Hermione is not Emma Watson. It's the other way around. Besides, I don't see what's so special about Emma Watson.

reply

Me neither, she's a pretty girl but she isn't a goddess and Rupert Grint (Ron) is a highly attractive man.

To you, Baldrick, the Renaissance was just something that happened to other people, wasn't it?

reply

Agreed, but personally, I liked Emma Watson for her portrayal as Hermione, as Hermione is my favorite character in Harry Potter (her and Bellatrix are my favorite).
