Which house would you pick and why?

If you could go to Hogwarts as a student, and you could have picked any of the 4 houses which one would you pick and why?

Hufflepuff, because nobody cares about Hufflepuff. People want to be in Gryffindor because they want to be seen as heroic, Slytherin because they want to be known as crafty, or Ravenclaw because they want to be considered intelligent. Nobody cares about Hufflepuff because their biggest traits are working hard and being fair.

But I think they thrive at being "the rest." Their common room is next to the kitchen, they don't hassle others or get involved in rivalries, and they don't crave the spotlight. They're the most laid back and reasonable of the houses.

Slytherin for various reasons! 🐍
Serpents have a history of producing great magic. If it hadn't been for Harry crying to the sorting hat, he could have ended up best mates with Malfoy. Slytherins' robes are cool! Green and grey are awesome, unlike scarlet and gold, Hufflepuff's yellow makes me throw up. Snape was the greatest headmaster there is. Dubbadore was just a pretender who favoured Gryffindors. Not to mention, green banners look great in the great hall and Slytherin common room is HEAVEN.
As for Ravenclaws, they're a bunch of nerds and Hufflepuffs are just pathetic. So yeah, it's Slytherin by default. Even the Sorting hat put me in Slytherin three years back but the damned site was shutdown and they deleted the game/community last year :(

And assuming that if you picked that house you would also have gone bad like mentioned in the first movie, there was not a witch or wizard that was in Slytherin that did not go bad. I don't know if Harry Potter had gotten into Slytherin if he would have been best friends with Malfoy. Remember that he did tell Malfoy that he thought he could tell the wrong sort for himself, after Malfoy offered to help him there. But could you imagine what it would have been like for Slytherin if Harry Potter had been sorted into the house, and he was the first not to go bad? It is just something to think about.

You got the quote wrong.

There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin.

Saying that any wizard that turned bad was from Slytherin, not that all Slytherin students turned bad.

Okay smartypants what was the quote then?

They posted the quote in their post. You really can't read, can you?

Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. But I guess that I would end up in Gryffindor, because I would never be able to solve all those riddles, that the Ravenclaws used as passwords.

Intelligence and purity.

Wow your description of Hufflepuff, just wow. I am always sorted into Hufflepuff in those quizzes and for awhile I always wished I'd be sorted in Gryffindor, but I know Hufflepuff is the perfect fit for me. Hufflepuffs are definitely not those craving the spotlight, going out of their way to have enemies, etc. I really wish we had seen more from Hufflepuff house in the books. I also think a strong trait of Hufflepuffs is kindness and helping others out not for recognition, but just to be nice. I do think they'd be laidback although I feel the only Hufflepuff we saw much of was Cedric, but he could be described that way kind of.
