OT: Why TFA could never be forgiven

Sure, it has a lot of problems but the real tragedy isn't that it's a lazy ANH remake, not by a long shot. What it can't be forgiven for is the most epic come back scene in the history of cinema it set up - and then failed to deliver so disastrously it can't even be described in words. But we'll all remember how we felt when that lightsaber started to shake and then flew into Ray's hand. Not even the most stubborn apologists can deny that all they wanted to do in that moment was to choke that stupid bitch.

To add insult to injury, Lukes comeback scene turned out to be him standing still and looking confused. What a disaster.

Good.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's unforgivable, but I could feel it in my damn balls that when that saber started to shake it was going to be Luke.

reply

You're a better man than I am then, I'll never forgive it. NEVER!

reply

F-cking apologists, I swear. A good writer would've made it work. Besides, it's Star Wars, Luke was there because the force. Done. But nooo, they shove this c-nt down our throats instead.

reply

It honestly wouldn't have been the stupidest thing in the movie...but I'm glad it didn't happen.

According to me, yes. I am the person it's usually according to when I'm talking.

reply

Uh, no. Still love it. Also loved the scene where the lightsaber flew into her hand. People were cheering in my theater at that part

reply

No you don't.
