Could anyone suggest whether someone like myself, with average gaming skills, would find Donkey Kong Return for the Wii a good game to play given that it does have a Super Guide to help out (hopefully not too often) if you can’t get past a certain level by yourself.

Less than forget. But more than begun.
It starts off by punishing you only if you want to complete everything in the stage. By World 5, it becomes challenging without the level of satisfaction.

That game starts out amazing and the second half basically kicks our ass until it is like a big joke. I wouldn't bother. The 3ds version has an easier mode but by then no one cared.
shareControls are bad. I can only recommend the 3DS version.

Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom
It's challenging. But if you do have trouble there is a cheat when the pig pops up to have the game play the level for you. The design upgrades were cool and made you feel like you enter the jungle.
