What are your feelings on the Mine Thrower from Resident Evil 4?

I like it. It's a grenade launcher that behaves like a sniper rifle.

Admittedly, it's broken as sh!t. It alleviates the boss battles for Saddler and Salazar to such a degree that it'd be despicable if it weren't so fun to experiment with.

Don't remember using it honestly... Was it in the GC version...?

Mostly just used the hand gun and the shotgun, occasionally the Magnum, TMP or the machine gun you got after completing it. But the machine gun was only fun in short stints. Way to strong for anything to put up a challenge.

According to me, yes. I am the person it's usually according to when I'm talking.

I never got the hang of it, but I heard it was worth it if you master it.

Probably my favorite gun in the game. Especially useful when multiple chainsaw wielders were close by.

I think i used it once or twice. But I rarely use anything else other than the following:

Red 9 (with stock) - Higher damage is a win, I prefer to take less shots and have them count for more.

Riot Gun - I usually only use the shotgun at very close range, so I value the quicker handling of the Riot Gun over the slightly better damage and near bottomless ammo capacity of the Striker, although I seem to be pretty much alone in this preference.

Bolt-Action Rifle - Like the Red 9, I prefer this because it delivers a harder punch per shot taken. I don't really feel the need for the SAR, as I do my sniping from a distance, and again focus more on accuracy than simply spraying out bullets. If they thing I'm shooting at is close enough to make the time between shots actually matter, I've probably already switched to the Red 9 anyway.

I'll also use the free magnum to soften up bosses, but for the most part I rely on the above the guns throughout the entire game.

When I got the hang of the game, I mostly stuck to the default Handgun (stats, too), used the village's shotgun until I got the striker, and replaced the bolt-action rifle as soon as the semi-auto was available (basic scope until infrared).

But you could get through the game just fine without the semi-auto if you kept a lot of grenades when you got to the island (what was it, 4 or 5 explosions per regenerator?), but I'm a guy who kills every enemy if there's a cap.

The Mine Thrower made the stage with the fire-breathing dragon statues a breeze. You could just snipe the masked Los Illuminados lying in wait before they knew you were there. And from the entrance.

It's a pretty good gun if you make space for it. I usually keep three full-heals, one slot of handgun ammo, two for TMP, and horde everything else.

I felt the Chicago Typewriter was the lesser of three overpowered NG+ weapons. It's kind of like the Patriot in MGS3. It's alright to breeze through the game with it as a close-range no-limits firearm, where the infinite rocket launcher is too dangerous up close and the P.R.L. 412 was a mix of close range AoE and charged one-hit-kill shots.

First time Tigro finished the game, Tigro used Leon's standard handgun. However these days, Tigro uses only Red9, Striker and Bolt Action.

Carlos Tigros was born in the jungle to a tiger and mongolian father Mento. Tigro is insane "_"
