PS4 finally getting external HDD support.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/02/03/ps4-system-software-update-4-50-features-detailed/

About damn time. My 2TB internal drive is almost full, and USB 3.0 drives are way cheaper. I upgraded my Xbone storage for half the price of my PS4 storage.

Does the Switch have external hdd support?

Fantasy Football Champ.

Idk, Nintendo is being Nintendo and not announcing any hardware details despite the thing releasing in exactly four weeks. The dock has USB ports and the Wii U offered external HDD support, so hopefully?

That being said, you'd only be able to play those games in docked-console mode, so it'd be half-pointless.

Good. Hopefully we'll get proper backwards compatibility next.

I wouldn't count on it. Even the Xbone's BC leaves much to be desired. The best we can hope for is that all future PS and Xbox consoles are BC back to the current-gen games.

Wow, it's only gotten that now?

Maybe they should change their tagline from 'greatness awaits' to 'already got your money'. Guess I should just be grateful that they aren't taking features away like last time.

Too bad that the PS4 absolutely destroyed the Xbone as every other Playstation console has destroyed every other Xbox console.

Keep crying kiddo.
