shareTheres tons. Two of the best ever Sonic games (Sonic Chaos and Sonic 2 SMS version), the Wonderboy series, theres a ton of Disney exclusives like Land of Illusion and Donald Duck: The Lucky Dime Caper, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Phantasy Star, Fantasy Zone etc.

I've never understood why people like phantasy star. As far as I've always been concerned it was a second rate final fantasy without anywhere near the replayability.
shareMy best guess is that for people who grew up only owning Sega consoles - Phantasy Star was as close as you got to Final Fantasy. I never cared much for the space sci-fi-ish stuff myself.

I think Sonic 2 for the Master System/Game Gear is kind of awful. The first game is million times better.

It was better than Final Fantasy. A lot of the Phantasy Star IV team moved on to work for Square and help make Final Fantasy VII.
Phantasy Star III was *beep* though. Good concept, just poorly executed.

People talk about it as an amazing system that nearly destroyed nintendo and blah blah blah... but in respect it really wasn't very good. It's got a handful of decent, not great games in its library and the rest if it's library is crap.
