Do you ever read the messages printed on the spin out grooves of vinyl records?
Nirvana’s 1988 single ‘Love Buzz’ reads “Why Don’t You Trade Those Guitars For Shovels?”

shareOnce upon a time, before the internet, before computers and mobile phones, sitting down and listening to an LP was an actual thing people did. Like just that, and nothing else. It wasn't on in the background, it was being actively listened to, so you sat there reading the lyrics on the album sleeve, and every other bit of info there, including cryptic messages in the black skatey bit.
I hardly know the names of the tracks now on albums I buy electronically.
I know exactly what you mean. I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things music related, from the 60s until 2000, then it falls off a cliff edge, lol.
shareI REALLY,REALLY MISS YOU...ANDREW KINGMAN:PRISONER#1967....I HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
shareWe’re all good thanks. I miss you too man, but every time I have a quick look at GD, I see all the bots, trolls and socks, with all the politics and hate, and I’m reminded why I decided to take a holiday.
I might return one day.
