I was watching a game show from the early 1960s (an episode of "What's My Line?", a show where a panel tried to guess the occupation of the contestant), and one of the contestants was a jazz trombonist named Melba Liston. Turns out she was fairly famous at the time (panelist Dorothy Kilgallen, a big jazz fan, disqualified herself as she recognised her). So out of curiosity I bought Liston's album "Melba Liston and Her 'Bones". It's quite good.

Have you played Atari today?

Ever since October of last year, its been nothing but my late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal for me. I have just about every song out there that was done by him and his material started getting played on the radio in 1965. I could listen to him all day, I love him SO much!!!

God bless you and his family always!!!

Holly

P.S. If only I had discovered him before his going forward...I would've asked him to marry me.

Check out my most favorite singer, James Otto, when you can! I love him SO much!!! (smiles)
