Listening To Human Amusements At Hourly Rates. Love it but if it was the only thing, or first thing you heard you might think the band was way more consistent than they reall were 

Hot Rocks Vol. 1 love it also but if you heard it was the only thing you heard, or the first thing, you wouldn't know about the Stones really dabbling with psychedelia in the 60s.

What are some others?

The Very Best of Todd Rundgren--you'd think he was just a straightforward pop artist.

Turn it on Again: The Hits by Genesis. Out of 18 tracks, it contains only 2 from the Peter Gabriel era.

When you look at a list of their "hits", most of them were indeed after Gabriel left. They had just 1 single in the top 20 with Gabriel, and 15 without him.
