Disney changing the princess franchise

I think Disney should call the princess franchise heroines instead. What annoys me about the princess franchise is that it's only the princesses that get attention. When you go to toy stores it's always Cinderella but you never see Alice or Lady from Lady and the Tramp. I think if Disney called the franchises heroines instead it would be more inclusive. It can include Lady and Alice and other underrated Disney heroines. I think if Disney renamed the franchise other Disney female protagonists would get more recognition.

"Disney Princess" is catchier and more marketable. Also, since the "Princess" line includes such characters as Mulan, who were never actual Princesses at all, either by birth or marriage, it actually seems to be somewhat inclusive already. They seem to use "Princess" as a sort of synonym for heroines in general.

True but I think Disney should try to promote Alice more.

As a lot of people have mentioned in the past, I wonder why there isn't a Disney prince/hero franchise?

I wonder that too. I think Disney needs to focus on their other characters besides the princesses. Disney has become way too princess obsessed.
