RESOLVED: Ineligible credits

Meet Eric Leblanc, French translator of international films for French TV and home video.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm8472561/reference

And now to quote the IMDb rules

"Please also be aware that there are certain types of credits that we do not list unless they are specifically credited on-screen: these include work on marketing elements of a film (work on key art, trailers etc.), or on non-theatrical versions (e.g. DVD authoring, supplemental materials, captioning, re-editing for video, telecine and digital restoration work etc.), or on localized releases (dubbing, dialogue translation/editing on foreign versions etc.). We do not list these credits unless the person has received an on-screen credit for his work in the original theatrical version of the film (not on the homevideo version)."

How did any of the above's 1000 plus credits (including different TV episodes) get accepted? Eric was born in 1968 by the way.

reply

He has 1,985 credits in the miscellaneous section, only one of which is 'credited' but that has a duplicate credit that is 'uncredited'. 20 of the other three credits relate to director and editor credits for some youtube videos (not an actual TV series). The other three credits relate to an alleged special feature on a 2000 French DVD release of Eraserhead but the link to that DVD does not a special feature with that name listed.

Hi jamesmccabe9,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I've removed the invalid subtitle credits. The ones for the web series and "La Genèse d'Eraserhead" are legitimate therefore will be retained. See http://www.worldcat.org/title/eraserhead/oclc/491342629?referer=di&ht=edition which references the title.

Thanks again and have a nice day.
Will
