ANSWERED: Keyword List Manager: The plague continues....

Again and again, I am finding situations where keywords are listed at the episode level that already exist at the series level. This is against IMDb guidelines.

Here's a major example:

"The Amazing Race" (2001-)

16 keywords were listed for every episode that already exist at the series level:

airplane
airport
american
around-the-world
competition
culture-shock
family-relationships
host
non-fiction
race
roadblock
stunt
team
travel
usa
world-travel

I have submitted deletions.

Please advise the submitter of these erroneous keywords of his/her mistake, and advise him/her to STOP this error.

An evey larger example of this terrible situation is:

"Top of the Pops" (1964), which previously had 10,607 duplications of 7 keywords on 1,516 episode. (I have corrected this.) Please advise the submitter of this mess.

And there are many other examples of this major problem.

Please respond.

I agree. I think it has to do with it being too easy to submit keywords to multiple episodes at a time. The keyword form at the series level has an episode field, so maybe some users think they need to use it. Maybe there could be a warning message when adding the same keyword to more than a few episodes?

Hi bradleykent1,

Thanks for cleaning up the series. I've taken a look and you are correct, these were all added by the same contributor. I've contacted the user making them aware of the Keyword policy.
