Shame (Harry Escott)

Has anyone listened to this? I noticed that the music in the trailer was very similar to Hans Zimmer's 'Journey to the Line' and I discovered it was from Escott's score, a piece called "Unravelling:"

It got me curious to listen to the rest of the score. I hope it's good.

Well, I like to be gentller than you, Jan

It's not a good score, though. I've just heard it. It's only got three tracks by Escott, and they're all in the same mold, clearly ripping off Zimmer's track. I guess I like listening to them because, well, I love "Journey to the Line" so any track similar to it will evoke some warm feelings.

It's an easy track to rip off, in all honesty. An awesome track, and one of Zimmer's best, but it mostly consists of building the same slow string-section notes over and over again. Jon Brion did it too, with I've Got a Surprise For You in Magnolia. Ah well.

Haven't listened to Shame yet, mostly because my interest drops 90% when I see a soundtrack album have three or four tracks and the rest are songs. Really wanna see the movie though. I've made my own short film about a compulsive masturbator and would love to see another's take :P

No, all three tracks are lifted from 'Journey to the Line.' It'd actually be cool if each one were derived from a different score.

Easy, now...

It was a typo. I hate when that happens
