2012 So Far

There's been a lot of mediocre ones, a few really good ones. I guess pretty standard for this time of year (we were spoiled last year when Powell's Dragon came out in Feb). Unfortunately, my two favourites I've heard in the past couple months aren't technically 2012 films at all (Young's Black Tulip and Horner's Black Gold). But here's some good ones that have come out, all of which are better than Grey, Safe House, and most of Lorax.

John Carter
Columbus Circle (might also not count as 2012, but an awesome Brian Tyler score nonetheless)
Perfect Sense
Being Flynn
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Act of Valor
Hunger Games

...and that's about it :P

You're welcome! Also, add Mirror Mirror and Wrath of the Titans onto that list. Mirror was easily the most enjoyable thing Menken has done in a reeeeally long time....Titans I've only heard samples, but what I've been able to catch sounds freakin' awesome.

Navarete composed 'Wrath'? I still have fond memories of 'Pan's Labyrinth,' I'll give that one a try.
