Listen to all of Amazing Spider-Man

So on this site here, you're able to listen to the entirety of James Horner's new score, clip by clip:

In my opinion, it's the best score of the year so far. Perhaps not the mind-blowing perfection I was expecting, but hot damn is it wonderfully old fashioned! The action scenes use a piano and choir! The 4 note danger motif is nowhere to be heard! The electronics are kept to a bare minimum! And most important of all - THERE'S A BIG, HEROIC MAIN THEME, AND IT'S USED IN MORE THAN THE LAST 5 MINUTES!!!! I'm sorry, but for me, that last one is something I've been waiting years for. Hell, I would've liked the theme to show up even more times in all it's enjoyable glory, but such is life.

Overall, I loved it, if maybe not quiiiiite as much as I was unabashedly hoping for. Still, though...this is a real superhero score.

Was overjoyed when I listened to all of it. This is Horner's greatest in many years. Complete with great themes, a genuinely epic feeling while still managing to be sincere and emotional, and old-fashioned orchestrations that are thankfully not overpowered by cheap synthetics.

This, and Brave, are looking like the scores of the year to beat.

"When is he going to die?"
"Soon, compadre. Soon..."

I'm with ya on the commercials, I had to mute them every time because it was so annoying...I also plan on boycotting Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter forever now :P

I too was surprised with the lightness in the score - to be honest, this was the more light-hearted and thematic approach I expected in Avengers, whereas this new Spidey seemed to be going in a darker direction. But I can't complain - the thing is more Rocketeer than Iron Man, and for me, that's a good thing.

the main theme is reminiscent of Christopher Drake's theme for his great score to "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies". but love Horner's score here. really great and sounds like a lot of fun. can't wait to own it

Heck is where you go to if you don't believe in Gosh

Still not sure what to expect from the film but score sounds great! Hopefully the film (and score) become a huge success and we'll see more orchestral and thematic scores for big Hollywood blockbusters.

And am I the only one who's slightly disappointed that the danger motif is nowhere to be heard?

All of us with wings

Yes. :D

I saw the movie tonight. I like the score a lot but all the themes are a bit anonymous. The Spider-Man theme doesn't scream Spider-Man as much as generic heroic fanfare, in fact it made me cringe a few times. Spider-Man isn't this unabashed, flashy hero like Superman and I think Elfman got that and Horner hasn't. The Lizard theme has nothing on any of the previous villain themes either.
