Marvel Soundtracks

So, I hear that Carter Burwell is scoring Thor 2 and Henry Jackman was hired for the next Captain America - and with that news it occurred to me that no solo Avenger has had the same composer twice. Iron Man went from Djawadi to Debney to Tyler, Hulk went from Elfman to Armstrong, Thor went from Doyle to Burwell, and now Captain America is going from Silvestri to Jackman.

I'm not trying to play favorites, because I've enjoyed quite a few of those scores; I'm just wondering why nobody ever gets invited back. And no, I don't count Silvestri because The Avengers wasn't technically a sequel. And for as much as I love Silvestri, I don't think he was the right choice because modeling the soundtrack after Captain America wasn't fair to the OTHER Avengers ;)

What do you guys think? Is the diversity of a new composer for every movie effective, or would you prefer a little more consistency? And who is going to land Avengers 2?

Side note: Wolverine is on the same path. Between the three X-Men movies and his two solo outings, the dude is up to FIVE different composers!

UPDATE: Check that. Brian Tyler just signed on to score Thor 2, so it seems the Marvel universe is finally getting a little consistency. I think this would make him the obvious choice for the next Avengers sequel...

Doyle was asked back but couldn't for some reason. Clashed with Jack Ryan I'd guess.

I'm sure Silvestri will score The Avengers 2.
