The theme music (not the Sound Track recordings) for Terms of Endearment

Who wrote the theme music for the movie, "Terms of Endearment"? And is this theme music presently used for NPR's "Weekend Edition" on FM weekend radio? Thanx! ([email protected])

Although there might be some resemblance, the "Weekend Edition" theme, like many of the NPR themes, was written by B.J. Leiderman.
