Is this the obituary of the composer for Ants! (1977) TV?
There is only one "Ken Richmond" listed as a composer on IMDb so I guess it's 99% sure it's him. This is from legacy.com... I would post the link but my computer can't copy from the address bar for some reason. There is a text of a link which can be used below, however.
Ants! (1977) had a creepy, cool sci-fi horror score and though Richmond's only credit on IMDb, his obit does mention he did a lot of behind-the-scenes work. So his entire input looks to be much more than just one score. From his obituary below it looked like he had a good life, I'm glad to see.

Obituary
Richmond,
Kenneth Lee
Penfield: Beloved husband of Nan Gullo Richmond, left us suddenly on Saturday, September 17, 2011. Composer, arranger, and music copyist for numerous other composers, Ken was born in Los Angeles, CA, on October 18, 1936 of Bertha and Joseph Richmond. He graduated from Van Nuys High School with class mate, Robert Redford. After high school he toured with the Les Elgart band and others, and in 1957 he joined the staff orchestra of KABC-TV in Hollywood. He graduated with a B.A. in composition from Cal State Northridge, where he wrote the college's Alma Mater. He then went on to do graduate work at USC with Ingolf Dahl. During these years as a free lance composer he was associated with the Disney Studios, Columbia Pictures, American International Pictures, Electronic Music, Inc., Martin Records, Columbia Records, DECCA records, and with the library of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ken came to Rochester, NY, in 1971 with his first wife, cellist Lynn Kahle Richmond. He became the first full-time Librarian of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1978 he received his MM in Composition at the Eastman School of Music where he studied with Joseph Schwantner and Warren Benson. His music has been performed by the Rochester Chamber Orchestra, The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the COTA Orchestra in CA, Eastman's ESSO, which performed his Cello Concerto, written for and performed by Lynn Richmond, and on numerous recitals at Eastman and other colleges. On January 10, 2007 he was given a 70th Birthday Celebration concert in Eastman's Kilbourn Hall, with his chamber music compositions performed by Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and Eastman School of Music musicians. He was looking forward to a 75th Birthday Celebration concert later this year. He was on the Board of Directors of Chamber Music Rochester and will have his Trio for Piano, Violin and Cello performed at the Memorial Art Gallery on March 4, 2012.
His two passions in life were music and golf. Those who will miss him most, are his second wife, Nan Gullo Richmond, his three step-daughters, Nana Stotz (Brian), Dona Wiedmann (Peter) and their three daughters, Tessa-Lynn, Sophia, and Olivia, Molly Mann Ziegler (Jonathan) and their two daughters, Katie and Anna, and his many golfing friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Friends (Quakers) Meeting House, 84 Scio Street, in Rochester, NY, at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011. There will be a light supper served after the Meeting.
In lieu of flowers, please present a contribution in his name to either The Rochester Chamber Orchestra (950 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607) or Chamber Music Rochester.
