Thoughts on Ronny Yu - Filmography listed

First of all, what happened to Ronny Yu? Did he retire? I have not heard anything about him since Fearless (2006) and didn't even know he directed another movie 7 years after that.

I am not familiar with much of his 80's work except for "Legacy of Rage", which starred Brandon Lee. I am a big fan of his early 90's work especially his Bride with White Hair movies, which I binged on as a kid and still consider classics. "The 51st State" had Samuel L. Jackson which was alright, though definitely not his best (he almost worked with SLJ again when he was onboard to direct "Snakes On a Plane). Ronny Yu is probably best known for directing "Fearless" starring Jet Li.
