Do Actors have to still have to send in audition Tape if they work with said director before?

shareI would say it depends on the situation. Some directors end up having a good experience with an actor, so they keep them in mind for a future role. Others have the opposite happen, and the director never wants to hire them again. An example of the latter was Julia Roberts being cast in HOOK, where Spielberg got so frustrated he nicknamed her "Tinkerhell".
shareDepends on the level of role they played previously and if the director and producer liked them.
If a major actor, they’re probably invited in to talk about it.
