The different style of actors

There was a time that I only respected Method actors thinking they were the only ones who were really committed to their craft.

Now I’ve realized there are many style of actors with different skills even guys like the Rock deserve their for being just good entertainers and making crowds love his silliness.

There are actors who can pull of playing themselves and good for them.

Ok here are the different styles and some examples of each.

1 Method actors and/or chameleons.

Those are the actors who totally transform themselves for their roles and disappear on screen to see the characters.


Examples : Daniel Day Lewis, Christian Bale and Meryl Streep

The versatile in genre more specifically actors who can do drama and comedy.

These are the actors who can do drama or comedy without trouble. I’m not mentioning horror, sci-fi or action because they are genres which Either come from dramatic or comedic skills.

Examples Robert Downey Jr, Julia Roberts, Hugh Laurie, Brian Cranston and George Clooney.

The entertainers or the ones known to play themselves.


These guys get a lot of hate because they will never be in a movie to win an Oscar but these are actors who are in industry to entertain with their charisma and charm. They can get away being silly hehe. Or overacting to the max but they do it intentionally because the film requires that.


Examples: Vin diesel, Jason Statham, The Rock and rebel Wilson.
