I just watched Fighting Madam aka Midnight Angels (1987) starring Moon Lee. Aside from its sequels are there any other recommended female action films set in a modern setting?

Beyond Hypothermia (Hong Kong, 1996), in which ice-cold assassin Shu (the wonderful Wu Chien-Lien) slowly thaws out in the presence of noodle shop cook Long (the equally wonderful Lau Ching Wan). Lots of bullets, blood, bodies and some pretty jolting moments built around an 'opposites attract' romance between two characters whom we want to see triumph. Strongly recommended by me but beware the dubbed US DVD and try to snag the Cantonese audio version with English subs if you can.
