I've never watched so many films from a single director as I did with Takashi Miike (75 at this point and I still haven't watched The Lion Standing in the Wind and Terra Formars).

Also Takashi Miike discussion thread. He was my first biggest passion in asian cinema so long ago.

There are still some essential Miike films I haven't seen. He was also one of my first passions, probably because he was famous, weird, and prolific.

I just have a top 5:

Audition
Gozu
Box
The Happiness of the Katakuris
Ichi the Killer

I've seen maybe 5 or 6 other movies he's done and simply hated them. His career is so long and varied, I haven't had a chance to check out his other works because I've since discover other Asian filmmakers who I felt were more consistent.

He gets point for inventiveness and for always being amusingly honest in interviews though!
