A tale of two sisters
I watched this on Halloween night expecting a crazy scary horrific movie but that ain't it. There was a few jump-scares here and there but the atmosphere didn't affect me much. Maybe if I would've watch this in 2003 I would've find it crazy but at this point, not that much. I keep reading that the movie is 1h55 but the version I saw was 2h20. I did appreciate the slow pace and psychological side of it but what got to me (negatively) was when the characters were moving oh so slowly and taking forever to proceed with common actions. (Opening a door, slicing food, approaching strange object etc.) Its like "get on with it!!". The story has a few good twist but I saw some of them coming and like I said, at this point, not that original. A solid cinematography, good music and good acting is what kept me watching all the way to the very last, final, final scene. (I really think the shorter version must be better) 6/10
