Where the great TV Western character actors went in the 1970s...

When the 1970s came around, TV Westerns became a rare thing and were replaced by many police and detective programs. All of those great character actors from the TV Westerns of the 50s and 60s still found work in one place, Little House on the Prairie, thanks to Michael Landon's smart move to create a new style of "Western" that used the cultural interest of the family-oriented "back to nature" move of the 70s, and his loyalty to character actors he'd known in the past.

Other than show regulars like Landon, Karl Swenson, Kevin Hagen, Dabbs Greer, Charlotte Stewart and of course Victor French, some other "westerners" I have seen on the program include:

John Anderson, Jan Merlin, Robert Foulke, Mitch Vogel, Robert Hoy, Forrest Tucker, Greg Walcott, and those are practically from just the first year. Who do you recall from the show?

Just saw one with Richard Jaeckel.
