Any thoughts on the movie "Passengers"?

I remember liking the script when I read a long time ago, and so far the trailer is ok. The trailer is (as most trailers are these days) far too long. Also, not a huge fan of the ship design. Something about it just seems so off. The outside looks over-designed, yet the inside looks bland. Also, while I like Chris Pratt, I kinda feel like he's too likable of a guy for this role in regards to the "twist" in the story. It will be interesting to see how audiences react to that.

Negatives aside, I am interested in seeing it, and it could be quite good.

I liked the script too, but in the trailer they show the both of them standing outside the ship in suits and I don't remember that from the script at all. Do you remember that scene? I also don't like the ship design but the effects look to be decent at least.

I don't remember that either, but it's been a long time since I read it. The effects do look good, and who knows, maybe the the ship design will grow on me as the film goes on.

I hope they address the rather obvious solution to the malfunctioning pods (ie waking people in shifts to swap with them), rather than just assuming the audience won't think of it.

Looks decent, but not amazing or anything. Honestly I'll watch anything with Jennifer Lawrence in it.

Its pretty good but they missed the boat on a dark movie .
