What do you like to see in the sci-fi genre?

I think some of the most intriguing science fiction stories deal with man's relationship with machines. Blade runner is an example that instantly springs to mind.

I like to see something that I haven't seen before. Any kind of concept that breaks new ground and makes a person think.

I like cool spaceships. It's why I love Star Trek - the Enterprise (no bloody A, B, C or D) is THE coolest spaceship design in sci fi history.

Roddenberry wanted it to be upside down, with the saucer on the bottom.

Looks like they ended up incorporating that design into the Daedalus-class and Olympic-class.
