finally someone who answered
i liked many of your choices especially Romeo and Juliet. cnat belive i forgot them probably its because its considered such a classic story that i have a hard time putting the same category of someone like all the recent YA teen couples.

anyway i hope ill get more answers if not im gonna take this to a romantic flick baord with more movemnet.

reply

I think it's just time consuming to come up with all those couples. That's the problem.

I had the same question about Romeo and Juliet. They're teens. Their youth is a part of the story and the tragedy. But I wouldn't call it YA in the same way I'd call say "Mortal Instruments" YA! Still since it IS a teen couple and that's important to the content I stuck it in that category rather than drama.

reply

Probably that's why I didn't specified a number for each category.

Actually my original plan was just making it a 4 categories:. drama, comedy, action and YA but later thought that animated could be included for a nice change and latter didn't want to discriminate the small screen couples probably I should have sticked to 4 categories since very few care for animated and tv well there are forums for them.

Anyway on Romeo and Juliet I can perfectly see why it's just that I have a similar problem with them of the one that I have with Jack and Rose.
Which is their behavior is too mature for YA but technically they do belong on that category.

reply

Actually I think I may have forgotten a few in each category since there are some many romance movies/shows with couples I love and I can't always think of them all at once! Maybe I'll update my list later.

reply

reply

Very nice choices and with Jack and Rose I guess I'm the only one in this world who doesn't place them as YA, I guess twilight and the notebook have given me a whole different perception on YA couples.

reply

I have to check out some of the the films I haven't seen on this list!
