ROSE OF THE DANUBE -- AN OPERETTA IN TWO ACTS
This operetta was written in 1934 by Arthur A. Penn and Geoffrey F. Morgan. It has not been on the stage since 1967. The Grand Rights for this "out of print" work are still owned by Carl Fischer, INC, LLC, NYC.
I am doing research on this musical and need help. If anyone can give help it will be greatly appreciated.
I need data on the life of Arthur A. Penn who also wrote the words and music to the seminal "Smilin' Thorough" and many operettas.
I have enough information on Geoffrey F. Morgan who was a true "Renaissance Man" and had very few unpublished thoughts.
The 136 page Script and piano music can be copied for a fee from the archives at Carl Fischer.
This script however has recently been made available electronically:

The full orchestrations may also be copied from the Carl Fischer archives.
The 25 page Stage Guide can be electronically copied from the Carl Fischer archival library at John Hay Library, Brown University, Providence, RI.
I have much information, data, two actual scripts, and one rare electronic copy of the Stage Guide, that I would be most happy to share with you.
Even the industrialist John R. Burgoon Jr. mentions that he actually played a role in his high school version of the operetta. He cites it in his 2014 book The First Seventeen on page 169.
