Damn it! I was hoping for FLOWER DRUM SONG LIVE!

Flower drum song live...hilarious!
Great to see this surge in musicals on TV. Hoping GREASE LIVE and HAIRSPRAY LIVE quality are a trend for great things to come! Both SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE and PETER PAN LIVE were duds.....ALSO look out for PBS documentary on. MIRANDA'S HAMILTON this fall. They also did a doc previosly on his IN THE HEIGHTS.

I saw Hairspray with Nick Jonas and Corbin Bleu, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Harvey Fierstein, so I hope this cast will be just as exciting!!!
I love " Flower Drum Song" too! ^ I saw this with Pat Suzuki, jack Soo when it played in Woodland Hills a million years ago!

It would be awesome with Constance Wu, Jamie Chung, Harry Shum, Jr., and Paolo Montalban.

Just as long as Edna is played by a big guy with an androgynous-but-good-voice.

John Travolta in a fat suit and throwing his voice just didn't cut it...

Both SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE and PETER PAN LIVE were duds.....

But the huge Audience for The Sound of Music is what started all of this. I didn't think it was too terrible - but now Peter Pan was - and I thought The Wiz was the worst of the bunch. Still, though - BRING 'EM ON!!!


