Peter Pan Question (his future relationship)

I know within other versions of Peter Pan it's shown that Peter returns to Wendy to find her older and with child. Whom he ends up falling for...my question is if there is a book or specific movie that goes more into detail about their relationship ~ that of Peter and Wendy's child.

Guess for me growning up on the story of Peter Pan ~ I use to assume he had a thing for Wendy but now looking at the cartoons again ... I see he mainly asked her to be around him so he could have a mother for himself and the lost boys. So the whole storyline of him being with her daughter really threw me for a loop.

Thanks to any assistance.

The point of Peter Pan is that he remains a child forever. So I would think any romantic "relationship" he has wouldn't go beyond a crush.

If you're looking for a story involving a romantic relationship between Peter and Wendy then you'll have to look to fan fiction for that (stories written by 'Peter Pan' fans and which are not to be considered canon). In James Barrie's book, Peter is forever a child who is incapable of romantic feelings let alone sustaining a relationship where he would be mature enough to father a child. He does return to Wendy when she is an adult with a daughter of her own but he doesn't fall for the daughter. Instead, he just takes her on adventures and the tradition continues when the daughter herself grows up to have a child. It's all platonic.

That somewhat happens in the movie 'Hook' although it's Wendy's granddaughter more about what happens to Peter after he's grown up than how he got that way. I didn't like the movie much but that's completely beside the point.

Thanks I think movie media is what had me wondering if there was a storyline to him and Wendy's daughter/ or granddaughter (i.e. the movie 'Hook'). But from what you and the other poster stated ~ sounds like those movies I've seen are not based directly from the books.
