'A Talking Cat!?!' - AVOID!!

If you want to see a totally awful kids' movie, this is the top of the mountain. An unfunny no budget comedy about a talking cat (voiced by Eric Roberts, of all people) and directed by a guy who usually does softcore dude porn. If your kids find this on Netflix, grab the remote away from them and throw it across the room.

A quick look at the cover is enough to tell me that that's not a film I'd ever even consider seeing.

The cat on the DVD cover is not even the same cat that's in the movie. Haha. The one on the box cover is a kitten, the cat in the movie is a much older, adult cat. Still cute 'n' all, but even my kids noticed the difference. Haha.

It wasn't that bad although the acting was pretty poor for the most part. I thought it was a cute and interesting story. Some of the dialogue and scenes were a little cheesy, but I have seen worse. Squeaky the cat who played Duffy the cat was clearly the best actor in the film. Eric Roberts was fine as the voice of the cat. I chuckled a couple times. I would rate A Talking Cat a 6/10.
