Does anyone remember the television show, Gullah Gullah Island?
I was just wondering if anyone else than me remembered Gullah Gullah Island? I used to watch it when I was a little kid, but faintly remember it.

sharei used to love that show even though when it was on,
"Potato guns don't kill people, potatos kill people" Ace Of Cakes.
OMG i loved that show, I remember that they had a huge pollywog named Binia Binia (or however you spell it), loved that show would sure love to see it again.
shareYeah of all the shows on Nick Jr. back then THAT was my favorite show of them all. I remember that fairly well, 'come and let's get together in the bright sunny weather, let's all go to Gullah Gullah island'. That was fun. It's too bad they don't show the shows from back then on Nick Jr. now...and exactly WHAT is the deal with Nick Jr. already being off for the day at what is it, 9 or 10 in the morning or even before that? I remember they used to run it till noon or one when it was Little Bear, the Busy World of Richard Scarry, Allegra's Window, Gullah Gullah Island, Rupert Bear, The Muppet Babies, Eureeka's Castle and Grandpa Beaver's Storytime. Back then it ran long and it was good, today it's short and none of their shows are any good.
I remember that was really the first show I saw that dealt with several different cultures, and I remember when I was little I was trying to figure out how that worked that there were two kids, a black sister and a white brother, when they have a white mother and white grandfather, and the dad is nowhere to be seen? I didn't get it but I loved the show.
Yes!! I used to love that show. It was one of my favorite shows on Nick Jr.
shareI remember it! It was great! It was one of my favorite Nick Jr shows along with Franklin and The Busy World of Richard Scarry, and probably others I don't remember. Gosh, Nick in general used to just be so much better. I remember I'd get excited when I was off school because I'd be able to see Nick Jr (it's funny that even when you were older you still watched the ones on Nick Jr during the summer and when school was closed). I miss the old Nick Jr as well as the old Nickelodeon station.
shareWe didn't have cable when I was young enough to enjoy Nick jr but if we behaved sometimes at lunch our teacher would let us stay back and watch whatever was on that channel.
I am the prototype
Yeah, I remember the show! The other Nick Jr. shows mentioned on this thread I forgot all about them!

I remember it had a rather catchy little theme tune and I'm sure there was this dinosaur creature in it.
