When The Sandlot debuted in 1993 it achieved national acclaim because it was a film that both adults and children could enjoy and during the 90's especially in 1993 it was known as the year of family movies and with The Sandlot it proved that. I've seen The Sandlot many times and it never ceases to amaze me how fun family movies used to be. It's no secret that they did two sequels to The Sandlot that didn't perform as well as the original The Sandlot. But The Sandlot remains one of the best loved family movies of all time
