Stand-up recommendations request

Hi all,

I posted this on another board and a poster was kind enough to suggest that I post here as well.

A good friend was diagnosed with cancer a couple weeks ago. She is going into isolation in two weeks while she undergoes treatment. I want to give her some stand-up comedy DVDs to help her through the isolation period. I don't mind "R" rated comedians, but prefer less offensive. We have a similar sense of humor and some of the ones I like are...

Sebastian Maniscalco
Bill Burr

She is a Air Force veteran so I'm sure she's been exposed to some hard-core stuff. Regardless, I'd like to keep it relatively clean and light considering the circumstances.

The Big Bang Theory DVDs of the most popular comedy is also a possibility even though it isn't strictly stand up it's still up beat. People usually recomend the earlier seasons.

Hi, maybe try Danny Bhoy, Carl Baron, Stephen K Amos, Arj Barker, Tommy Tiernan, Jimmy Carr and Jim Gaffigan. All are pretty popular and from what I've seen of them you might get the odd f bomb but there's nothing controversial in their routines, more just observational. Some great comedians that I watch a lot are Jimmy Carr, Jon Richardson, Michael McIntyre, Carl Barron, Jack Dee, The Umbilical Brothers. They are the ones that come to mind. Hope all goes well with your friend

Hi everyone,

I talked to her today and she is done with radiation treatment. She's been cleared by her surgeon and is doing well.

I gave her a bunch of DVDs to keep her laughing and she's doing just that.
