Write to ABC, kEEP Galavant tv series and make it 23 Episodes Per Season

The American ABC tv network is INFAMOUS for cancelling new tv shows due to “poor ratings” even though the tv show is refreshingly original and very good quality, unlike the usual mundane police/lawyer/doctor/reality show dramas or storylines that are currently dominating all hours of the day and remain on television for 5 seasons and more. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewing is being counted. If not, it’s not.

The tv series “Galavant” is fast paced, unique, original, and very entertaining and funny. The musical format of “Galavant” is different from “Glee”. I feel that it is funnier and more entertaining than Glee, another musical comedy/drama.

According to Wikipedia, Galavant is actually a mid-season fill-in for Once Upon a Time tv series.
Season 1 of Galavant consists of eight episodes which will air over four weeks as ABC has scheduled two episodes per Sunday. Each episode is around 21 minutes long only.

First of all, we need to ask ABC to convert this Mid Season-Fill In into a Full Blown September to May tv series with 23 (YES, TWENTY THREE) episodes.
What is the point of 10 episodes 20 minutes each and wait 365 days for Season Two consisting again of only 10 more episodes at 20 minutes each?
I fear and almost know for certain that Galavant WILL NOT LAST more than 2 seasons at this rate because if it is shown so little, it will not be remembered. Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Remember, Prevention is Better than Cure. It is better to try to keep the show going and show ABC that there are lots of TV fans, than trying to rescue it After it is Cancelled.

If you like Galavant and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help. Every single physical letter to the ABC TV network, matters.


1. Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue. You can use the template letter at below and send a physical letter / “snail-mail” to:

We, the undersigned, enjoy and love watching the new ABC tv comedy musical show “Galavant” which premiered on January 4, 2015 on the ABC network . This tv series is unique, refreshingly original, very funny and entertaining for both adults and children, keeping us glued to our seats and coming back for more. It truly is a “comedy extravaganza” The songs and music are catchy and great to listen to, and comedic timing is perfect. I cannot get the songs out of my head.

ABC has always been in the forefront of television: creating and airing tv series that set precedents (in terms of originality and storyline) before other television networks, like your tv show Lost, Modern Family, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, Monk etc.

We like to see more of Galavant and would want “Galavant” to be converted from a mid season fill-in to a full-blown full-season September to May tv show with 23 or more episodes.

We are devoted viewers who will continue to watch the program, encourage others to do the same, and will support the series’ advertisers as well. Please keep it going on ABC and thank you again for making enjoyable entertaining TV.

2. We need to work together to make the IMDB rating for this show at least 8/10 (which I think is a deserving score for this show) so that other people will be convinced by this score to give “Galavant” a try.


3. Call the ABC network at (818) 460-7477, press “1”, then press “2”, press “666”, and leave a 30 second message. Be polite and tell them how much you like the show. Especially for those who live in America can call ABC tv network.


4. Go to the ABC TV website and copy and paste the Template Letter above into their online Feedback or Enquiry Form.


5. Talk about the show with others-Create a Buzz at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested and might help bring former viewers back.

5. Create petitions , both paper petitions and online petitions. Encourage people to sign the petitions. Post on the official ABC Facebook page and ABC Twitter page and shout out loud about how great Galavant is and that it should be converted to a Full Season tv series.

6. If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on ABC.com or purchase episodes online so your viewing will be directly counted. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.


7. Take note of the products that are advertised during the show. Write the advertisers and tell them that you appreciate their sponsoring the show and that you buy their products (if you do).
