Have you ever question yourself why you're a Trekkie??
When it comes to certain fans of Star Trek? I enjoy the each series, the movies from TMP to Nemesis. I love the soundtrack for each movie, I love the ones composed from Jerry Goldsmith.

shareNo
shareMy earliest memories are of sitting with my whole family watching the last season of the original series as it aired. Then during the 70's Star Trek was the only show you could count on finding no matter where you lived. We moved all over. NJ, Del, FL, AL MS, MO, CO, TX, CA, and Hawaii. Every place had Star Trek reruns. Most would even run Star Trek marathons once or twice a year. I enjoyed all the series. I prefer the TV series to the movies but in the early 80's the movies were all we had. I enjoyed all the movies to one extent or another until the Jar Jar Abrams movies.
No Sitcoms! No Sports! No Reality!
No more than why I'm an SF Giants' fan, and I'm a fan because I like the team. Ditto with classic Trek, but my fandom stops at the Kirk and Spock era.
shareI've been into TNG and the TOS films as long as I can remember. I got into TOS when I was older. I just inherited it and have come to enjoy the quality of the shows and movies more in adulthood.
shareQuestion my Trekkieness?
NEVER!!!
I say it now,
I say it loud,
I am Trekkie
And I'm PROUD!!!
Nope. I love Star Trek. Especially TOS. Really love the ideas of intelligence being rewarded, equality, and world peace actually being established.
Also love that most tech and advancements we have, were inspired by Trek. Like cell phones, computers, voice recognition tech, etc...
Also Trek fans, I think like to be called Trekkers, well I like that better anyways. We are smarter and on the right side of history. Most decent people tend to be ST fans. ST is a force of good in this world. Nu!trek is a different story tho....
